Pottery & Prosecco - Tapas Bowl Edition

Our first Pottery & Prosecco Workshop of 2025 was the perfect blend of creativity, relaxation, and a little bubbly! With glasses of Prosecco in hand (or a non-alcoholic alternative), our guests settled in for an afternoon of mindful making at The Glasshouse at Fantail and Turtle.

The workshop kicked off with an introduction to hand building with clay, focusing on the simple yet versatile pinch pot technique. Once everyone got the hang of it, the real fun began—shaping, smoothing, and transforming their pinch pots into stylish, functional bowls. From organic, rustic finishes to more refined shapes, every piece reflected its maker’s unique creativity.

Next came the decorating stage, where each bowl was personalised with textures, patterns, and details to make them truly one-of-a-kind.

Then, it was time to wrap up the workshop and to hand over the bowls for drying, glazing, and firing—a process that takes around 4–5 weeks. When complete, each guest will have their own handcrafted bowl set, ready to use and enjoy at home.

This first session was such a joy, and I loved seeing everyone embrace the process of slow, mindful making.

If you missed out, don’t worry—new workshop dates are now open for March! Come along, unwind, and create something beautiful with your own two hands.
